Shewring shines in Tendring

This weeks man of the match voting boiled down to just two players registering votes, but the votes have been counted and there can only be one winner.

The man of the match against Tendring was Nick Shewring.

Nick had a super game and ended up as the leading bowler and leading run maker on the day.

Below is one voter’s summary;

Mentions have to go to:

1) John, for good captaincy in the field and a fine spell of bowling including taking the wicket of the opposition’s best batsman.

2) Mat, a genuine all rounder for RCC.  A mammoth spell up the hill (although with the wind) of 10 economical overs on the bounce and 2 wickets.  Good fielding with 2 great catches and another not out to help the batting average.

But my man of the match this week goes to Nick.  The RCC spin wizard followed up last weeks classy spell to capture another 3 wickets and he had all the Tendring batsmen in trouble.  Then he brought his fine net form out into the middle and his belligerent batting gave some hope to the RCC cause sharing a stand of 49 with Jim.

Nick wins a set of sporting shower products.
