Elegant batsman who does not give his wicket away lightly. Solid in defence and attacks with style rather than power.
Kurt Akyuz

Wicketkeeper
A top class wicketkeeper who has impressed behind the stumps on all occasions he has played for the Pinks. The batting does need some work though to recapture the cameo knocks he used to turn in at school 15 years ago.

Tony Alfieri
 (Trucker)
Batsman
Batsman who likes to get on with scoring runs in and around the top 3. Tony is capable of scoring quickly and has improved enormously in his brief cricketing career. Fields with 100% energy and has a safe pair of hands.

Another who has recently returned to the game after not playing since school. Finding his feet again with the bat and in the field after the very long lay off.
Gareth Cox

Good old fashioned all rounder. A bold shot player with the bat, and capable of powerful hitting. Bowls at pace with a consistent line and length.

A top draw batsman who has put in crucial scores on countless occasions. Ian's fielding/wicket keeping at times is almost as good as another frontline bowler.
James Downing

Graham Hooper
 (Kiwi Graham)
All Rounder
A genuine all round talent. His bowling takes the form of a left armer who does plenty with the ball in the air and off the pitch. His batting is powerful with all the classic textbook shots. Graham is now back in New Zealand, but will hopefully play again for the club one day.
Rahul Hore

All Rounder
The newest member of the squad and another who has returned to the game after many years in the wilderness. A demon left arm bowler and an extremely useful middle order batsman. And apparently his wife wants him to play for us every week (unlike most of the other wives!)
Adam Jones

Batsman
A batsman of fine pedigree who always looks relaxed and elegant regardless of the match situation and tension. Match winning and match saving knocks are a regular feature throughout the summer. Adam is also a handy part time bowling option for the Captain.

Jimmy Mitchell

Bowler
A high class bowler who doesn't give runs away lightly. Bowls from stump to stump at pace and makes lbw decisions very easy for the umpire to make. The batting does need work though.

Graham Mully

Bowler
Accurate and disciplined medium pace bowler. Really enjoys the statistical side of the game.

An agricultural batsman of supreme power. Never read a cricket text book and refuses to play himself in. Goes after any bowler from ball one. Also bowls an economical medium pace
Marcus Rose

Bowler
A reliable bowler who has got through a lot of overs for the club. Perhaps hasn't had the wickets he has deserved, but it is not through the want of trying. Batting has been a problem, but has really worked on things during the winter net programme.
Jack Shewring
 (Young Gun)
Batsman
The first ever Rosaneri colt and another in the long Shewring cricketing clan. A high quality opening batsman who is calmness personified when stroking the ball to all parts of the ground.
Nick Shewring

Bowler
The club's leg spinner who on his day is capable of bowling a side out. Consistency was an issue, but this has now more or less been ironed out. Holds the club record for the most wickets in a season, but the batting has not progressed at the same rate.
Steve Shewring
 (Cuz)
Bowler
Bowls the perfect combination of line and accuracy when on song, and always offers the skipper a good option. Steve's batting is powerful and crisp, and at its best will put Rosaneri in match winning positions.
John Shuttlewood
 (Pitbull)
Bowler
Formally the club's opening batsman, but has now totally re-branded himself as a nagging left arm bowler. His left arm action and drastic variations in pace make him a tricky proposition.
Paul Sindrey
 (Sinders)
Bowler
Totally transformed himself during the 2008 pre season to become a fast and aggressive bowler. Takes wickets and keeps a lid on the run rate, and has now also developed his batting to enable him to chip in with runs in the tail.

Has now dedicated himself to raising the club's batting standards by becoming the batting coach.
Rob Tona
 (Robsie)

Another who plays directly from the text book, and accumulates runs rather than blasts them. A shrewd tactician and offers the team mature thoughts when most needed.
Graham Tyrrell
 (Mr. Bell)
Wicketkeeper
The clubs wicketkeeper and opening batsmen. Has established himself as a top batsmen after a shakey start and can boast a century as his highest score. Always full of fighting spirit and often rallies the troops in times of crisis. Never gives in and hates losing.
Andy Underwood
 (Bloater)
All Rounder
Rosaneri's Ian Botham. Smashes the ball hard with the bat, but pays little attention to the coaching manual. Has now scored 3 centuries to demonstrate the high level he has reached. Has also developed into a very tidy bowler who is hard to score runs off. (Pictured here with friend of the club Matt Dawson, World Cup winning rugby star)
Ben Underwood

Batsman
A solid batsman who is sound defensively, but also capable of scoring runs quickly. Athletic and enthusiastic in the field which a real bonus for any Captain.
Stephen Underwood

All Rounder
A talented all rounder who offers very accurate medium/fast bowling and bats straight from the manual. Stephen's bowling is super economical and batsmen have found him really hard to get off the square.
