Winter wonderland

The current weather could not be any further from cricket weather, but maybe this year we are going to get a traditional climatic year with bad in the winter and a drought in the summer !

Well we can hope.

With all the snow around your intrepid reporter even had chance to link in cricket with a kids snowman making session ! The kids were not that fussed, but i was quite pleased with the RCC snowman.

Talking of weather, we also need to keep an eye on the snow and ice in regards to Wednesday’s net at Goffs School. Please check the website on Wednesday for a full update before you travel.

Anyway, on with the club news round up. The AGM notes went online yesterday, and a final decision will be made on the exact make up of the contracts in the very near future.

On the fixture front the games are now stacking up and we are pleased to announce two further additions to the list.

Firstly, on Sunday the 30th of August we travel to Harlow to take on the Harlow Sunday 3rd XI. We are always assured of a close game in Harlow and the Sunday 3rd XI is usually made up of a classic mixture of up and coming kids and our friends from the vets side.

Secondly, on Sunday the 24th of September we travel to Coxtie Green in Brentwood, Essex to take on Bentley Cricket Club 2nd XI. This is another exciting new adventure for the club at a lovely looking ground in the heart of Essex. For more details please take a look at http://www.bentleycc.co.uk/Nav.htm .
