Start date confirmed

Winter nets have been booked to start on Wednesday the 21st of January at Goffs School sports hall in Cheshunt.

Sessions will begin at 9pm and finish at 10pm. Players will be asked to make every effort to get there 15 minutes early to help set the net lanes up.

We will block book until the nights are light enough for us to relocate tour summer venue.

Winter nets have always been traditionally important in cricket to ensure that the team can hit the ground running from the very first ball of the coming season. I think last year we enjoyed a significant advantage over our early season opponents as the majority of our players had put in a huge amount of winter practice.

So with this in mind, please make every effort to get to as many nets as possible.

We are also very hopeful that the Net Doctor will be in attendance to assist batsmen who wish to develop their technique and move onto the next level. Whatever level you are at, the Net Doctor will have valuable advice to improve your performance.

The start of winter nets is always a great feeling as you know that the proper season has just got that little bit closer.
