The fixture list for 2009 is coming together nicely and we are pleased to announce the latest high profile addition.
On Saturday June the 20th we travel to North Weald for a renewal of the successful 2008 fixture.
We lost last years encounter by a resounding 8 wickets, and were in truth outplayed on the day. However, the high point for the Rosaneri statisticians was Adam Jones’ brilliant 50 and a great supporting innings from Mat Freeman to help post some sort of total. The bowling was poor by our season long standards, and we never really had the home team worried.
Afterwards we enjoyed a great drink with the opposition and talk turned to the fact they were not that confident of the rest of their order to have knocked off the runs. So it may have been the case that one more wicket could have set off a sensational Rosaneri charge. We will never know.
But for 2009 we will go into the game looking to pull off victory at a delightful venue.
