That last roast potato

Hopefully a good Christmas was had by all in Rosaneri land.

But hopefully not too good in terms of food intake.

Ok, be honest, who sat on the sofa after Christmas day lunch and felt slightly uncomfortable ? Or very uncomfortable ?

Probably most of the squad ! With the obvious exception of Slaps who ran 12 miles on Christmas morning, had grilled Tuna and 8 neatly trimmed green beans for lunch, and watched cricket coaching DVD’s in the afternoon.

A one off day of excess is not a problem as long as we get back on track as soon as possible. Once we head into 2009 the season will be on us before we know it. Winter nets have not yet been booked, but as soon as the schools are back we will get a start date which is very likely to be mid to late January.

The more we get right in the close season the more we will get right in the actual season. Ideally, we all want to be a little bit fitter, and we want all our players to be ready to hit the ground running in terms of form by Mid April.

Enjoy the last few days of relaxation, as the pace will pick up come January the 1st.
