Marcus is part of the club’s fixtures and fittings and has been around since day one, and is known for his steady bowling and erratic batting.
2008 was no exception with the ball as he chipped in with 10 wickets, some of which were vital and returned a top performance of 2 for 10.
The batting was up and down to say the least, but undoubtedly his best innings came against Edmonton in a supporting role to the belligerent Cuz Shewring. Marcus remained unbeaten on 25 as the Rosaneri innings was declared.
Marcus has always had the potential to be a good tail ender capable of runs, but he rarely applies himself to the situation. He has all the big shots in the locker, but often suffers from playing the big shots at the wrong kind of ball.
The winter nets will be crucial to Marcus this year as he needs to kick on in both departments. He has now achieved a very good base level, but a greater level of consistency will take him up to the next level.
