The Club auditors have been through the books and the cash reserves have been counted to reveal that the clubs finances are in very good health.
Without paying for the new club bat or purchasing and engraving end of season trophies we have a cash surplus of £215. (To the nearest £)
There are no outstanding debts and we are not committed to any overheads.
Clearly we have had a very good season financially even if our results on the field were not much of a match.
Going into 2009 we are in a very strong position to hire pitches and provide match balls without having to worry about where the next pound is coming from.
At the AGM we will have a brief discussion about the match fee, and we will also discuss how to spend the surplus next season as it grows. We have already purchased club caps, so we may want to explore subsidised shirts for next season.
On a negative note, I must report that a club member or members saw it fit to pass us a Jersey ten pence and a blatant fake Pound coin !
