Downing secures the title

Going into the last match of the season against Sawbridgeworth the Golden Fielder was all but wrapped up with those placed 2nd and 3rd in the table not being in the team.

Just to make sure, Jim picked up a point for a run out to take the silver salver with 11 points.

Jim thoroughly deserved this title as he amazingly recorded hat tricks of catches in two different matches.

Last years winner Mr Bell made a good defence of his title but a combination of injury and the imapct of half points for keepers eventually left him in 3rd.

The 2008 runner up was Andy Underwood who is always a safe pair of hands, but even though he didn't win he did take the prize wicket of Neil Tilley for Enfield.
