The marks out of 10 have been averaged at it can be revealed that the tea on Sunday against Sawbridgeworth has burst straight into the top 3 of tea of the season.

It was a splendid tea and a brilliant way to end the season. The array of sandwiches was superb, but the cakes and fresh fruit moved matters to new heights.

The Sawbridgeworth tea takes the runner up spot behind Farnham, and finishes just ahead of Botany Bay in third.

The winning tea, that of Farnham, was literally in a league of its own and thoroughly deserved its place at the top of the leaderboard.

We have been very lucky this summer as the standard has been particularly high. Cricket is a brilliant game, but it is always made that bit more special by having a top tea.
