Mi.Freeman – Set his stall out with the bat to stay in and accumulate runs. Did just that, and has quickly established himself as a first choice opening batsmen. Got a great partnership going with Shell, that before disaster struck could have secured a Pink victory.

M.Cox – Fielded superbly with his usual energy and busy vibe. Thrown in at the deep end with the bat against quality bowling and was cleaned out by a jaffa of a ball.

Leigh – Kept wicket in a discreet yet classy fashion and kept byes to a bare minimum. Batted brilliantly and looked set for a certain 50 until a crazy mix up of a run out sent him back to the hutch.

A.Underwood – One of the bravest and controlled displays of Captaincy that the club has ever seen. Got the bowling order spot on to surprise Enfield and made the right move to counter every twist in the game. Caught Tills with a great catch, but bowled and batted well below par.

Alfieri – Always involved in the field and held a nice catch to secure the all important first wicket. Looked good with the bat until Tills “Coached” him out !

Ma.Freeman – Bolwed brilliantly in his opening overs, and really was responsible for Tills wicket by stopping him scoring freely and frustrating him. But his last over was given the tap as Enfield accelerated. Never got going with the bat and was removed by another jaffa of a ball.

Downing – Bowled an excellent spell to restrict the runs superbly, and probably didn’t get the wickets he deserved. Looked unusually uncomfortable while batting and ran himself out in unnecessary circumstances.

Sparrey – Demonstrated his usual consistency with the ball and batted with real spirit to carry Rosaneri to a level of respectability.

Rose – Surprised as anyone to be opening the bowling, but did a marvellous job. Made the crucial breakthrough and during the middle overs of his spell added pace to the ball to become a real handful. However, his innings with the bat was far too brief.

S.Underwood – Returned magnificent bowling figures of 5 for 20 to add his name to the Rosaneri honours board. Strangely though he was guilty of bowling numerous wides which is something he not usually associated with. Five wickets in an innings is always a major achievement, but at Lincoln Road against a good Enfield team it is really something to be proud of. Another though whose innings ended too quickly.

Shuttlewood – Wow, what a day this man had. Opened the bowling after a 3 month lay off and bowled a naggingly consistent line and length. Set the tone to ensure that Enfield were never in control while batting. Then came to the rescue with the bat by giving everyone else a lesson in how to hang around at the crease. Added 7 valuable singles and supported Slaps to add 40 to Rosaneri’s total.
