The man of the match votes have been counted from the Church Langley game, and the award goes to Mike Freeman for his excellent innings under intense pressure.
Mike is making a name for himself as a rock at the top of the order, and that is certainly what he proved to be against the boys from Church Langley. In a low run chase with loads of overs it is vital that someone shows an ability to hang around and dampen the spirits of the attacking bowlers. Mike did just that, but nobody else was able to support him and win the game.
His brave innings eventually came to an end with a double bouncer which is always a sickening way to go. Mike returned to the shipping container to a thoroughly deserved round of applause.
Mike wins top of the range shower products to reinforce the old saying of “Play nice, smell nice.”
The tea rating votes have also been averaged and Church Langley have not broken into the prestigious top 3. But he real feather in the cap for our hosts was the fact that a 2nd pot of tea was made during the Rosaneri innings for players and spectators alike.
