Time for tea

Last weeks journey to south of the river may have ended in defeat, but it was certainly worthwhile by the fact that the tea has gone straight into the top 3.

The scores were added and averaged to give the tea at Ham & Petersham an excellent 7.82, which slots nicely into 3rd place on the leaderboard.

Any tea set in a tranquil courtyard accompanied by jazz music is going to be good, but the quality of the sandwiches made it worthy of a place in the top 3.

The breast of chicken sandwiches were probably the best individual sandwich that we have experienced in 2008. The choice was not massive, but the quality was excellent. There was at least one cake to everyone’s liking and there was a choice of hot and cold drinks.

We have been extremely lucky this season with the standard of teas, and long may it continue.
