The votes have been counted and verified and it can now be revealed that the man of the match against Hoddesdon was Mike Freeman.

It was a very tight week in the voting, but it basically boiled down to the Freeman show with brother Mat being a very close second.

Total commitment in the field resulting in two more stunning catches that saved Gareth's bowling figures plus an obdurate 'thou shall not pass' 25* in terrible batting conditions. Even his bowling, 20 years rusty & unpracticed was better than some performances I've seen!

Special mention to Gareth for an inspiring batting display in terrible conditions & for riding his luck with the ball & also Shell for some faultless keeping...if I was wearing a hat I'd doff it.

Man of the match goes to Mike 'The Cat' Freeman, dived more than Didier Drogba and a lot more successfully, looked very sharp with the bat too in appalling conditions.

Man-o-match; shell's keeping and mats bowling were good but were easily overshadowed by mike 'the kestrel' freeman's middle finger to Isaac Newton.
