Your club needs you !

We are in the middle of an availability crisis, and we are really struggling for Sunday.

The main reason for the crisis over the last 2 weeks probably has a lot to do with it being the first two weeks of the school holidays. We managed to get there in the end last week and the boys that played did the club proud by recording two famous victories.

There have already been calls from senior players to ensure that any midweek games are played on Wednesdays. This makes a lot of sense as it then takes away the need for requiring a double pass on a weekend.

If anybody can play and has not already let the selectors know then please do so by emailing selection@rosanericricket.co.uk as soon as you can. Please also email if you know of anyone who would fancy a game this weekend.

We cannot embarrass the club by turning up to a match without the full 11. Turning up with less than 11 is also an insult to our opponents, and certainly will not help in renewing fixtures for next year.

Come late August and through to the end of the season numbers available for selection are likely to be very high, so this crisis period is an ideal opportunity for ad hocs to show the selectors how much they wish to be considered for any available contracts for the 2009 season.

Come on guys, let’s think about every possible option and see what we can do to keep our club’s reputation right up where it should be.
