It was a busy weekend in the world of Rosaneri cricket and here is the round up for the two man of the match awards.
Friday night’s match against the Edmonton School Teachers saw Rob Tona being declared the man of the match by the voting players.
Robsie captained with the utter determination of achieving a victory and still had the concentration to record a personal highest score for the club and put his name on the honours board being part of a record opening partnership.
Player comments:
Man of the match is without question Robsie. He captained superbly and led the way with a fine display of batting, he will be a well deserved man of the match.
It has to be Robsie, I didn't know he could hit a four, let alone more than one of them.
Robsie……What an innings.
Sunday’s match was a great team display, but a couple of individuals stood out.
Gareth for his career best of 5 for 15 and Paul Sindrey for his valuable 30 runs when the victory was slipping out of Rosaneri’s grasp.
But the votes were added and in a very close run thing, Paul Sindrey was declared the man of the match.
Player comments:
Gareth’s 5 in 5 overs deserves the MOM, however my MOM is Paul, as he batted well outside his normal zone, and took one of the catches of the season.
Has to be Sinders. Great performance by Gareth also but Paul's knock came at a real pivotal time and the pressure was really on both with regards to the match and his personal standing. He rose to the challenge superbly. The catch spoke for itself and was enough to seal it.
