The trip to the Cotswolds has certainly livened up the Golden Fielder competition.
No fewer than six and a half points have been added to the table with the breakdown being as follows:
Mat Freeman 2, Gareth Cox 2, Andy Underwood 1, Paul Sindrey 1, Graham Tyrrell 0.5.
Mat took a catch and initiated a run out, Gareth combined with Andy to secure another run out and Gareth held a sharp chance to secure his 2nd point of the season. Mr Bell, the defending champion, took one of his trademark stumpings to keep in the race for this year’s title.
This time last year the race was virtually all over with Mr Bell being a country mile clear. However, this time around it couldn’t be tighter with whole host of fielders still in with cracking chances.
