Rosaneri cricket club moved ever closer to becoming a major cricket club by unveiling their first ever overseas player.

The deal was confirmed at the last indoor net session when a New Zealand trialist by the name of Graham Hooper, impressed the club’s management team to earn himself a place in the squad.

Graham bowled a very accurate and pacey left arm over the wicket, and batted with elegance similar to his countries captain Stephen Fleming. He will be a great “Ad hoc” addition to the squad, and seems capable of taking Rosaneri to new heights.

The classy Kiwi soon got into the spirit of the club, and demonstrated his enthusiasm for his new team by purchasing a pink grip for his bat at the end of the session. Hopefully the bat will be in the thick of the runs for Rosaneri at some point during the summer.
