Sunday’s big game is now looking like a very real prospect after very positive news filtered through from Eastnor Castle.
Our Host, Mr Berryman, made contact from pitch side to give us the very latest.
They have taken a lot of rain, but the wicket has been covered and it is only the outfield that we need worry about. It was a lovely day down there on Thursday and the field is drying by the minute.
Local club elder Jim Sandford said, “It is all systems go, and we are fully expecting to play Saturday, never mind Sunday.”
The weather forecast is also looking much better with dry days now being predicted for both Saturday and Sunday.
Mr Berryman would like us at the castle for 12pm which means we will need to hit the road nice and early on Sunday morning. The exact meet time in McDonalds will be confirmed later this week.
Players will be charged the usual £10 match fee and both lunch and tea will be provided by our gracious hosts.
Even though we are now playing a traditional style game there is still a very strong possibility that we will be running out to bat to music. So if you haven’t got your tune in, you need to get a move on.
This game is now looking very much on and we need to get focussed on producing the goods.
