The Wednesday night net is back and the action will get underway from 7.30pm.

As usual the venue is the John Warner Sports Centre in Hoddessdon.

This is a particularly special net as we are in a slump period of results and we desperately need to blast out the other side. It takes even more significance as this Sunday we go into battle for the fixture that the entire season is shaped around.

Batsmen need to make sure they are comfortable adapting their style as the format of the contest on the day will change from a timed game to a Twenty/20.

Bowlers also need to sharpen their acts as no balls, wides and general poor balls will be the difference between winning and losing. Therefore they need to nail their run up and bowl consistently in the right areas.

Let’s get our heads down and have a good session before we get on the road to the Cotswolds.

The weather looks unpredictable, but we will give it our best shot regardless.
