The fixture confirming bandwagon rolls on and another match has had its date confirmed. The latest fixture to be confirmed is the home game against Jack of Diamonds CC with the date set for Sunday June the 10th.
The match will be a classic 40 over contest and will effectively be match one in a two match series against Jack of Diamonds CC. It will not quite be the same as an ashes series, but I am sure it will be as fiercely contested.
Incidentally the second match in the two match series has been brought forward to the 19th of August.
Also on the fixture front it has been decided that the match in The Cotswolds will take place either the 8th or 22nd of July depending on when the Eastnor Castle pitch can be booked. However, this year’s game will be a match rather than a mini 20/20 tournament.
This will come as good news for Marcus as it means that there will be no Scholesy hitting him all round the castle ramparts.
The match against The Cotswold’s team will probably take the format of an all day game with 2 innings per side of 25 overs per innings. The day will feature lunch at the half way point and an old fashioned Cotswold tea. More details will follow when it is all finalized.
