Big plates required

A wide ranging selection of votes has been cast and the Tendring tea came out with a respectable 6.39.

Below are the comments of Rosaneri’s number one food critic Tony Alfieri:

Over the first 4 games it seems to me that the weather seems to be directly related to the quality of the tea. And it wasn’t a nice day.

First thing that upset me was Shell getting me run out (ok, enough with Shell), but the second thing was the size of the plates, better described as saucers. Bell had to resort to putting food in his gloves, which to be fair, proved to be a godsend when he discovered a rogue sausage roll deep into the 20th over.

Only 3 varieties of sandwiches and a general lack of thought saw a further dropping of marks. However, the scones were a big plus. I must say, I was a little put off with the cream dripping off them, but hoped and prayed Sindrey had been allowed no where near them and went in for the kill.

I’m starting to understand Cricket, the game and its ethics and I believe I now understand why Cricket isn’t played in the rain, no one would be able to stomach the tea!
