Laura and I would like to thank all the players of Enfield Rosaneri Cricket Club who donated presents for the charity raffle.

I would also like to thank Marcus (Sucka Slush), Nicola Cox (face painting), Matt (Bouncy Castle) and Matt's wife (assistant raffle ticket seller and ticket folder), amongst many others, for making the day go so well.

I genuinely lost count of the number of people I overheard saying what a great day it was, and how everything was free!! This clearly made people much more willing to buy tickets and donate.

From a charity perspective, the day was a huge success. When I spoke to the National Autistic Society to obtain balloons, stickers, leaflets etc, I said that I expected the amount donated to be in the region of £50 - £100.

However, as you would expect from our players, we totally exceeded expectations. The raffle, along with donations, donated profits from the BBQ and donated profits from the Sucka Slush machine raised a total of £331.69

For your info the breakdown was as follows –

Raffle ticket sales and donations - £255.95

BBQ Profits donated by Enfield CC - £27.08

Donated Sucka Slush profits - £48.66

Total - £331.69

The amount raised has been counted and re-counted by myself and Jim and I have now sent a cheque off to the National Autistic Society for the above amount.

I have also sent a letter of thanks, on behalf of the club, to Enfield Cricket Club and have requested 2 certificates from the charity (one for us and one for Enfield). Once these have been received I will forward one on to Enfield CC, who intend displaying this in their club house.
