Gritty batting secures prize

The man of the match votes flew in and it can now be announced that the Man of the Match against Enfield was Ian Cully.

Ian batted with utter determination with a lack of a net, on a difficult pitch, and against an accurate bowling attack to record his second fifty for the club.

Any fifty at our level of cricket will always be acknowledged as a fantastic achievement, but to make one by only hitting one 4 is even more of a noteworthy situation. Basically every run was grafted for, and bit by bit Rosaneri gradually got to a competitive total.

Not only this, but Ian captained with a ruthless streak to ensure that Rosaneri would not be bullied into an early declaration and made fantastic bowling changes that couldn’t have been better timed.

Ian wins a set of deodorant and shower gel.
