All attention is now focussed to the build up for the big match on Sunday against Enfield Cricket Club.

At this juncture the Selectors are expecting 10 contracted players to be available, with only Pits not being available from the 11. It must be pointed out that this is a unique game and it is not really the game to be rushing off from afterwards. Ideally, the club would like 11 players who are available to arrive at the ground early enough to help with setting things up if needed. 11 players who will bring a prize for the raffle, and most importantly 11 players who will stay for the post match barbecue and banter.

If you do have to rush off or cannot get to the ground until the last possible moment, it may be a game to step down from and let somebody play who can enjoy the days events in full. (Remember Monday is a Bank Holiday, so the rushing off may not be much of a problem for many anyway)

It is hoped that the team can be named by Wednesday.

Anyone lucky enough to be playing in the big match should also bear in mind that they will have to help out with umpiring and scoring duties. We cannot have people having a bat and then wondering around the boundary speaking to friends and family while others in the team toil away covering the duties.
