After much deliberation and consideration the selectors are now in a position to announce the team that will face Nazeing in this season's first match.

The XI has been named as:

Andy Underwood
Gareth Cox
Neil McHugh
Paul Sindrey
Jim Downing
Sheridan Leigh
Nick Shewring

Captain and vice captain will be announced later this week.

There were 3 contracted players unavailable which presents the opportunity for Bones, Paul and Gareth to come into the XI.

The selection was mainly based on net attendance, early notification of availability and general levels enthusiasm over the winter months. Those players that miss out this week will get their chances in the upcoming fixtures and I'm sure the three selected ad hocs will appreciate that other players are disappointed this week and should bear this in mind if they miss out for future fixtures. 

We will of course continue to try and keep all of the people happy all of the time but it's a tough task so bear with us!
