A few bits of club news can be tidied up today.
Firstly, the proposed trip to the bat factory in Essex cannot be accommodated before the start of this season. Sheridan has chased them up on numerous occasions, but they cannot give us a firm date and time is fast running out before our weekends will be dedicated to playing matches.
Secondly, I also have to report bad news on the proposed trip to Lords. This particular occasion has been cancelled due to a build up of small organisational problems. Although cancelled for this year, it is very likely that we will get it sorted out properly for the next closed season.
On a more positive front it should be noted that the fixture arrangement work is still continuing with Pits investigating a couple of options along the Hertfordshire A10 corridor, and Marcus pursuing a re-match with the elusive Jack of Diamonds management team. We are also back in contact with The Edmonton School Teachers and the Queens Head and dates could soon be known for midweek Twenty/20 contests.
The pre season curry is on schedule for Friday the 11th of April with a venue looking likely to be either Enfield, Cheshunt or Hertford depending on the final line up. This will be an occasion not to be missed with banter and pre season excitement being dished up in equal measures.
