Catch the ball.......by Neil McHugh
It was a great net last Wednesday, but one thing that really struck me was the way that everyone jumped out of the way of potential catches !
I have always been taught to try and catch them in nets as it obviously simulates match situations almost perfectly. You may drop a few, and you may get a couple of bruises, but it will serve to sharpen you up ready for the season.
Most matches will be talked about in the bar afterwards in terms of ifs and buts, so practicing our catching may well serve to take away some of the "What ifs".
If we don't take this easy opportunity to practice in the nets, when else are we going to practice ?
Come on lads, let's get our act together and start holding some net catches.
