Already counting the hours until next Wednesday!!

The rossers enjoyed a bumper turnout in the nets this wednesday and the hour flew by as fast as some of Mat Freeman's bouncers! Our grumpy old friend with the keys was back again so inevitably proceedings started sharply and ended abruptly but that wasn't enough to spoil the pink's enjoyment of another productive session.

Spirits were high and as you would expect the banter was flowing - plastic on willow echoed around the sports hall and cries of "Quack Quack Quack!" could be heard as pitbull aced Mat Freeman, rattling the stumps for a second time with an accurate southpaw delivery - Rocket Ronnie eat your heart out!

Cricket thirsts were again quenched for another week and some first timers will certainly be back for more - there were even rumours that Ian will be leaving work early on wednesday's to beat the traffic!

Batting performances were generally good but the bowling seemed to be slightly less consistent compared to previous weeks although the increased numbers probably had an effect on concentration. Now that the honeymoon period is over the pink's must settle down and start using the sessions to improve technique and sharpen skills in preparation for a successful summer of cricket. The experienced players must remember to try and identify and point out any obvious flaws in the newbies techniques so that these sessions can really start to improve our overall game.

Just six days to wait until we reconvene. I'm sure we will all be counting the hours!
