Ashmole Fits The Bill

Ashmole school was the venue for the second net of the winter and plenty of progress was made. There were still some signs of rust but on the whole the bowling improved significantly since last week.

The venue was just right - the pinks had the sports hall to themselves and 2 lanes between eight was just perfect. The long wait between deliveries that was experienced last week was a distant memory and the batsmen enjoyed at least 10 minutes each in the net.

There were sure signs that form was starting to return to the heights reached at the end of last season so things certainly look good for our opening fixture in April.

Roll on next week!
