News round up

The fixture list continues to take shape and we are now getting to the stage where it is getting harder to fit new matches into a packing schedule. More fixtures will be confirmed later this week. The midweek Twenty/20 games will not be confirmed until March/April time.

The trip to Lord’s featuring a tour of the ground and a net session is in the final stages of organisation. Pits has taken over the arrangements from Bonehead, and a detailed plan of the day will be published online shortly. The big decision that needs to be made is whether we drive or go by train. Pits is on the verge of securing us parking within the famous ground itself. (How swish would that be ?) The real advantage of driving is that we can leave our bags in the car while we go on the official guided tour. But obviously the train also holds advantages.

The trip to the bat factory in Essex has currently been put on hold. Sheridan who is the organiser for this event has suggested that we could do the tour before the Tendring match, as it will be on our way to the ground.

Graham Mulley’s stag weekend will obviously affect many members of the squad, so at present we are trying to keep a fixtureless weekend to avoid a clash. The last weekend in June or the first weekend in July are currently looking favourite.
