Another note can now be made in the diary for a game not to miss this summer. The match in question is an away trip to Farnham Cricket Club just outside Bishop Stortford.
The match will take place on Sunday the 20th of July on the delightful village green pitch in Farnham. The format for the game will be 40 overs per side, with tea being taken between innings.
The corresponding fixture last year saw the pinks dig really deep to make a real fight of it against a very good club side. The Farnham bowling attack was top drawer, with Mr Bell being clean bowled by probably the best ball of the season. We fought back hard with the bat, before some inspired bowling had the home team rocking.
In the end Farnham’s class won the day, but Rosaneri left the field with their heads held high. This season’s rematch will be a good measure of how far we have improved as a team.
