Home match against The Bay confirmed

The home match against Botany Bay has now been confirmed for Sunday the 22nd of June at Lincoln Road, Enfield.

Last years identical fixture ended in a hammering for the pinks against a virtual 1st XI. The opposition on that day were super strong and if nothing else it served as a great experience to mix with the big boys.

Botany Bay have promised to send a more appropriate team to play us this year, and a chance of revenge could well be on the cards.

Word is from the Botany Bay camp that their players were literally clamoring to play in the corresponding match last year. This was not only because they fancied tasting victory after a difficult season, but mainly because the draw of playing at Lincoln Road was enormous.

This may seem strange, but it is because Enfield and Botany Bay never get to play against each other as they play in completely different leagues.

Many thanks must go to Mark Cox for arranging this fixture, and also to Slaps for securing the use of Lincoln Road yet again.

The match will be 40 overs, and tea will be taken between innings.
