Wednesday of this week sees the start of the club’s winter nets.

Firstly, it must be noted that we are on a temporary booking at Hatfield for the first week, as building work has still not been completed at Sawbridgeworth.

The session at Hatfield will begin at 9pm and last for an hour. We only have one lane, so it is vital that everyone intending to participate emails admin@rosanericricket.co.uk as soon as possible.

The reason we are asking for the email is so that we can plan the batting time allocation for everyone. Obviously, more time will be given to specialist batsmen if numbers are high. If numbers are very high, it may be necessary that some people do not bat at all.

Although banter levels will be high, it is very important that players turn up with a clear focus of what they wish to achieve, and exactly what they need to work on.

Remember, you will have to pay your £1 on the night guest fee, and the session will cost £5 per player.

This is really where the 2008 season begins, with the start of the season now under 3 months away. If you want to make the best of 2008 and help your club achieve greatness on the pitch, it is now time to put in the hard work.
