Family day has now been 100% confirmed as Sunday the 4th of May with a match against Enfield Cricket Club at Lincoln Road, Enfield.
The match will get under way at 2pm and tea will be taken between innings. The format of the game will be 40 overs per side.
Last years match was somewhat one sided and we were very close to being embarrassed. Upon reflection, a match of this magnitude did probably come a couple of months too early in our season of development, and if it had been at the back end of the season we would have made more of a fist of it.
This year we go into the game with bags more experience and levels of performance have improved throughout the squad.
The final line up of family day attractions has yet to be finalised, but it is very likely to include a Bouncy Castle, kids fun bags, and an evening barbecue.
Obviously the club would like to see as many friends and family in attendance as possible, so please put the date in the diary and make every effort to get there for a truly special day out. If the weather is kind, this could be the day that gets the whole family into cricket.
With this fixture now slotted into the list, it gives us 5 consecutive weeks of cricket from the seasons opener on April the 20th through to mid May.
