This weeks round up of all things Rosaneri cricket looks to future events.
The trip to Lords for a net and tour seems to have gone down well, and it looks likely that the day out will take place early in the New Year. Bonehead will bring this venture together and more details will follow soon.
But the trip to Lords is not the only day out planed between now and the start of the season. The other big day out, which has slightly been pushed to the back burner, is the guided tour of the Warsop bat factory in Essex. This day out is in the hands of Shell, and he is awaiting confirmation of potential dates from the factory.
The other big news at the moment is next year’s fixture list. We still have to discuss fixtures at the AGM, but traditionally this is the time of year when fixture lists are put together. We have received our first phone call from one of last year’s opponents in a bid to arrange a fixture for the 2008 season, which is an obvious positive in showing that we are playing in the right spirit.
It is intended that fixtures for the 2008 season will start in April and end in September.
Work is still continuing on a venue for winter nets, and hopefully an announcement can be made shortly.
