Rosaneri newshounds on the pulse

The Rosaneri Cricket Club journalist team must take a big pat on the back, for their magnificent achievement of beating The Sun newspaper and the BBC in getting the story about pink balls to its online readers first.

This unbelievable achievement came to light when Robsie emailed me yesterday morning at about 9.30am and asked if I had seen page 19 of The Sun ?

I replied that I hadn’t, and asked him what all the fuss was about ?

Robsie then emailed me a link to The Sun website which was an article posted at 08:00hrs about the introduction of pink balls.

I immediately lambasted Robsie for not having rosanericricket.co.uk as his homepage, and pointed out that our New Zealand cricket correspondent, Graham Hooper, had broken the story at 00:01hrs earlier in the morning !

Sensationally, with The Sun newspaper hitting the news stands at 05:00hrs, and The BBC website not going live with the story until 08:00hrs, we beat these well established news giants in getting the cricket news that matters to our readers.

Robsie has learnt his lesson and has now made the necessary adjustment to his homepage to avoid being as out of touch as a High Court Judge.

Stay sharp and keep your finger on the pulse in the world of cricket by reading rosanericricket.co.uk every day.
