It is now time that we got our acts together and stopped talking the talking and started walking the walk and show appreciation to our long suffering cricket widows.
I refer back to Andy Underwood’s article of a couple of weeks ago in which he suggested that we order flowers for our better halves as a thank you for allowing us to play the game we all love.
The general theme of the flowers will obviously be pink, and the message will be along the lines of a thank you from the club for understanding the importance of cricket.
All core players should have received an email asking if they wish to participate in the scheme. All ad hoc’s are more than welcome to join in, and can do so by emailing admin@rosanericricket.co.uk .
Once we have an idea of who wants to get on the flower bandwagon, we can then get an idea of total cost and times of delivery.
I cannot urge you enough to join in with this one, as unless your lady is not a flower person it is a no brainer. However, there is no pressure for anyone to join in, and a simple non reply to the email will signify that you do not want to be part of the action.
The club are now offering a further option for non flower people in the form of home delivered wine or champagne.
