Marcus Rose

These reports are designed so that the player in question can look at their season in terms of figures. Sometimes bar room chat and banter can hide the truth behind what individuals are achieving.

Today the focus is on Marcus Rose.

Marcus is a workhorse bowler who can be relied upon to get through his overs when the Captain needs him to.

Summary:

Without a shadow of doubt his best bowling match performance was against Jack of Diamonds in the epic battle of Dane End. Marcus bowled accurately and took a vital wicket to put The Jack of Diamond top order under enormous pressure.

Marcus took the new ball on numerous occasions and often bowled at the best batsmen the opposition had to offer. This factor probably meant fewer wickets than could have been predicted at the start of the season.

His most prized wicket however, will be the Edmonton Teachers top batsmen who he bowled in a match turning moment at The Clowes Sports ground.

He would have preferred a higher tally of wickets, but it was not for the want of trying. Marcus is a fierce competitor and attends nets on a regular basis to work on his technique.

Winter nets must see Marcus work on the speed of his bowling, as he does tend to slow down under pressure, and he must also work on his consistency.
