Sheridan Leigh

As promised today kicks off the first player end of term report.

The reports are designed so that the player in question can look at their season in terms of figures. Sometimes bar room chat and banter can hide the truth behind what individuals are achieving.

Today we kick off with Sheridan Leigh.

Sheridan is a batsman of vast experience and his figures pay full testament to this.

Batting 2007:

Scores: 63, 31, 49, 4, 0

50’s: 1

100’s: 0

Total runs: 147

Average: 29.4

6’s: 1

4’s: 10

Sheridan was dismissed in all 5 innings and he always batted at number 2.

Mode of dismissal:

Caught, Caught, Bowled, Bowled, Caught

Bowling 2007:

1-0-7-0

Sheridan only bowled 1 over.

All in all a great season from one of the club’s most experienced batsmen, but he will feel slightly disappointed by not converting the 49 against Harlow into a 50.

The 63 against Tendring on the opening day was one of the innings of the season, and got everyone believing that we could compete against club XI’s. The 31 against Jack of Diamonds was also a very valuable knock in difficult conditions for run scorers.

Sheridan attends as many nets as possible and he will be keen to build yet more consistency for the 2008 season. From a club point of view, we can only keep our fingers crossed that he will be available for more games next year.
