How to get a season long pass....by Andy Underwood

In response to yesterday’s “Brownie points” article, I have been doing some thinking and totally agree that we all need to do as much as we can to play in as many games as possible next year.

With this in mind, I have come up with the perfect idea to gain us all maximum Brownie points and make sure the WAGs give us as many passes next summer as possible.

The idea is simplicity itself, and I think you will all be able to see the benefits of the gesture.

Basically we arrange a bulk discount on delivered flowers to all wives, partners and girlfriends of players that sign up to the scheme. An Interflora outlet will be able to offer us a nice discount for say 10 orders and they will be able to deliver to any area that is required.

I will investigate how much each player will need to chip in, but I suspect it will be around the £20 mark for a decent bunch.

We will go for a message from the club on the card along the lines of, “Rosaneri Cricket Club would like to thank you for being so understanding during the season.”

Imagine the surprise on your WAGs face when she takes delivery of a fantastic bunch of Pink flowers showing that you appreciate her understanding the importance of cricket.

Of course the scheme will be optional, and all players will be able to participate as long as they cough up the money. Come next season, £20 will seem a small price to pay for a season long pass for the game we love.

Details will follow soon of how to sign up.
