As Rosaneri players and supporters wake up this morning all eyes will glance up to the sky after a night of prayers for a dry day.
Yesterday saw a huge amount of rain, but the pitch should have been able to take it as we have recently enjoyed dry conditions. As long as it is dry in the morning we have a very good chance of the game going ahead as the groundsman does not have to protect the pitch for forthcoming league games.
Rosaneri go into the game with one of their strongest batting line ups of the season. Ben Underwood and Neil McHugh will more than likely form the opening pair following Tony’s decision to drop down the order. The batting is further strengthened by Graham Hooper who has always looked like a fifty waiting to happen in the nets.
The middle order has a match winning look to it with Andy Underwood, Jim Downing and Stephen Underwood. Throw in unknown quantities like Steve Shewring, Mark Cox, Graham Tyrrell and Marcus Rose, and Rosaneri can surely have a go at chasing any total.
Obviously this is the last chance of the season for individuals to improve their personal totals, but it also represents the last chance for the team to pull off another victory.
Let us dig deep, work hard, and end the season on a winning note.
