End of term reports

With the season drawing to an end, a new series of web articles is about to commence which will basically assess players in an end of term style report.

The report on each player will be totally focussed on statistical evidence from the scorebook, and hopefully players will all benefit from the analysis.

The idea is to make players aware of their strengths and weaknesses and give them something to think about and work on in the close season.

This method will hopefully also give players a benchmark from their first full season and something to better for the 2008 season. The difference between an average cricketer and a good cricketer can often be down to confidence and mental approach. A bowler who thinks he will bowl a bad ball will more than likely do so. Similarly, a batsman who walks to the wicket thinking that he is not up to the job will more than likely be on borrowed time. Therefore, mental confidence is something that we can all work on during the close season. The end of term report will start the thinking process if nothing else as we all look to improve on this years efforts.
