Weekly round up

It has been a busy few weeks for the club, but the final push is now on as the season draws to a close.

Back to back battles against strong Botany Bay XI’s have left Rosaneri bruised and battered, but hungry for more. All energies are now being ploughed into the last fixture of the season against Walthamstow on Saturday. The team will hopefully be announced on Thursday, and it must be noted that the match is due to start at 12pm.

All players that are available for selection are strongly advised to make the effort to get along to nets on Wednesday for one final practice in an attempt to send us into the close season on a winning note.

Players and supporters have been discussing the possibility of ending the match, going to the dogs and then ending up in the club approved Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant. Imagine what a night it will be if we do the business on the pitch and head off to London’s premier dog racing track on the back of a famous victory.

On the financial front, the club is officially skint. Saturday’s jamboree at Lincoln Road really hit the club hard as we had to pay full day hire rates and pay for the teas. However, it was most definitely worth it as a great day out was had by all.

In other news, we have a few decisions to take over the next few weeks about when to stop nets, when to start winter nets, and where to hold winter nets. We also need to set dates for an end of season presentation meal, and the date of our club winter meeting. Details of an opportunity to comment on such issues will appear online shortly.
