After a couple of close defeats it was nice to see the team fight back and win close contest this week.
A great team effort was exemplified by some fantastic individual performances.
Firstly with the ball, where Nick was at times unplayable and took a seasons best 4-27 off of his 8 overs. Milan also bowled brilliantly and returned miserly figures of 6-1-14-1.
With the bat Salman put his recent woes behind him and scored a well-made 28. Milan backed up his fielding and bowling by scoring an excellent 33 in an 87 match winning partnership for the 6th wicket.
But in the end Cijo Jose was the captain’s choice as Man of the Match with his stunning all-round performance. CJ bowled a few tight overs, was electric in the field, where he took a breath-taking catch and also scored his maiden RCC half century to seal the 'Pinks' fight back after things looked bleak.
Well played CJ!
