Vs Hatfield Hyde CC Friendly XI

On a day when our opponents Hatfield Hyde CC restored everybody’s faith in the spirt of having fun on an afternoon on social cricket there were some notable Rosaneri performances.

New boy Adie batted very well for his 31 and he was ably supported by Adam and Big Mike with 24 and 23 respectively.

It was a up and down story with the ball with lots of chances createdbut not many wickets taken.  However, Salman grabbed a debut wicket, Ash took a rare wicket and Adam turned his arm over for the first time for the 'Pinks' and bowled a wicket maiden.  Mo also bowled a great spell on debut.

But the really difference and ultimately what proved to be a winning innings was Nick's smash and grab cameo of 33 not out off of 20 balls which contained seven boundaries.  This was his second highest score for RCC and helped us post a defendable total (with the help and generosity of our hosts).

So Nick Shewring with this week's Rosaneri Man of the Match.  Well played Nick!
