Good morning Rosaneri fans and welcome to what is hopefully our first game in a month given the awful weekend weather we have experienced through the second half of June and early July.
Today we travel back to face Kimpton CC for a second time to hopefully redeem ourselves after our poor showing in the first game of last season. Vish Gopaul, the dad of Ash and Ayush, comes in as a late replacement for Daz to make his debut.
Kimpton like ourselves are a one team club who just play friendly Sunday afternoon village cricket.
The teams should be evenly matched in what will be a shortened overs contest as we all look to get back home well in time to watch England take on Italy in the final of Euro 2020.
Interestingly due to the relaying of the Kimpton square we will be playing on an artificial strip for the first time in the clubs 16 season history. Batsmen and bowlers must wear trainers or rubber Durastud cricket shoes. Normal cricket spikes can be worn whilst fielding.
Players are requested to arrive at 12:00 pm for the sharp 12:30 pm start time and the address of the ground is: Kimpton CC, Park Lane, Kimpton, Herts, SG4 8EF.
Twitter in play and break time match updates will hopefully be available throughout the day if today's captain can find a replacement social media manager! (@RosaneriCricket).
Participants are kindly reminded to remember and follow all of the current ECB guidelines which can be viewed via the links below as well as to bring their own hand sanitizer.
