Vs Navestock CC Sunday XI

Well what a game it was last Sunday and for the 'Pinks' it was full of excellent all rounder performances.

Firstly with the bat, Big Mike scored a well judged half century until he had to retire hurt after being smashed on the arm by the ball after a rocket of a shot by debutant Dylan.  Dylan himself scored a quick fire 39 which was full of crisp cuts and pulls.  Daz continued his excellent form by notching another unbeaten score this time of 31.  Ash shared in an excellent opening stand of 65 contributing 15 and ET's cameo at the end of our innings, including pushing Daz for an all run 4, ultimately help us score those extra couple of runs that in the end we desperately needed and made all the difference to winning and losing.

With the ball Robert bowled the opening batsman with the first ball of the innings.  Ro snared two good wickets.  ET had the 'Daddie' opener stumped by Mr. Bell and also bowled an excellent penultimate over.  And Daz was thrown the ball at the death by the skipper and did not disappoint by grabbing two wickets and only conceding a few runs.

And finally in the field Dylan and Daz combined with Mr. Bell and ET respectively to secure two vital run outs and Ash took a nice safe catch.

Ultimately cricket was the real winner on the day but with his all round performance Daz has been voted this weeks man of the match, his fourth award in a row.

Well done to all those that played in Sunday's terrific game of friendly social cricket.
