Rain, rain go away
Yet another game was ruined by the terrible British summer, and club players and supporters are becoming very frustrated.
With this frustration in mind, club officials have been firing off emails all Sunday night in a desperate attempt to secure another fixture. If we are to secure another match it will probably be either Saturday the 22nd or Saturday the 29th of September. The choice of a Saturday is very important to avoid any clashes with Rosaneri Football Club's Sunday morning fixtures.
If anyone knows of any likely opponents, could they please point them out to a club official as all avenues will be explored.
Maybe we will enjoy and Indian Summer, so it is vital that we try to extend our season as much as we can. It is important for all club players to remember that after September our next match cricket is likely to be 7 months away !
The long winter months do not bear thinking about, so we must pull out all the stops to get in as much cricket as we can. We will of course have winter nets, but nothing can compare to that feeling of playing in a proper match.
