In a game where most players struggled with either the bat or the ball we did have a some notable performances which put a few players in contention for this weeks award.
Firstly there was Ash who took two good wickets and was very lively in the field.
Ro bowled with his normal control against some top batsmen and did not allow them to take advantage of the short boundary on one side.
Robert's return to the team after two seasons has seen him shoot up in height and with his increased strength has led to him now being classed as a genuine fast bowler and this growth added to the skill he had already helped him claim two excellent wickets of very good batsman.
But realistically there could only be one winner of this weeks award and that player was Darren Patel.
Daz took the gloves in the absence of Mr. Bell and pulled off his first stumping for the club and did not concede a single bye. He then was the only player to come to terms with the opposition's bowling and was unfortunately left stranded on 47 not out at the end of our innings.
Well played sir!
